Mr C. W< Wycheriy, saddler, was in town yesterday on business matters. An Adelaide cable says Miss Ada Crawley’s svedding has been fixed for April nth. Messrs Fisher, Hutchison and Izard were the only candidates nominated for the Wellington seat, Dr Crook, resident bouse surgeon at the Christchurch Hospital, has re signed as a result of complaints that rhe management ia unsatisfactory. Tha Premier has intimated that he intends to return to Napier shortly and give an address. He finds that no Mi: liter has sp >ken there for five or six years, and that it is time that he (the Premier) visited the place and spoke on matters of general interest.
