TO TIIF. I?TUTOR. OF TUG MASAWATp ITERALP. Kik,--Another thing that emphasises the necessity for a good water supply is the disgraceful condition of the three water troughs in the township. They'are never full. One has a very large hole in the end of it) and the othef hvo are possibly leaking. Of course the one at the windmill may be full sometimes, when there is any wind ; but to day it is empty, and may be so for days. The two hand pumps at the north and south ends of the Main, street require new leathers, that is all, and they have been the same for many months. The council cannot expect travellers from a distance to carry a bottle of water with them to put down the pump to start it, as is necessary ! Thirsty though they be, it does not’follow that both horses and riders may not be teetotallers, like—l am, etc. A Thirsty Soul.
