Mr John Morton arrived at Wellington from Sydney yesterday. Sir Joseph Ward and Lady Ward will shortly leave-on a trip to Australia. Dr H. Dyer, of the Manawatn district, returned to Wellington hy the Tongariro yesterday from London. Mr James McKenna has been elected chairman of Patea Harbour Board far the fifth time. The Hon. T, Y. Duncan left Weilington yesterday tor the South, to be present at the sports at Oamaru on 9b Patrick’s Day. Mrs and Miss Haywood, of Whyte s Hotel, left by train this morning en route for a holiday visit to Auckland and Rotorua.
