Football.

The Wanderers meet to-morrow night. The idea of holding the North v. South Island match on June 3rd, at Wellington, is mooted. This should give the New Zealand selectors a glimpse of the form displayed, and considerably help them to make their final selections for the New Zealand team to do battle in England. The Old Boys Club held a meeting on Tuesday evening last, when it was decided that football be played this year. The matter of j oining the Mana. watu Union was not considered, as most of the members receive their half-holiday on Wednesday afternoons, and would therefore not be able to take part in Saturday matches.
