DALGETY AND CO.’S REPORT. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London office, dated 3rd March, 1905: —"We quote New Zealand ox hinds iSo-jaolbs,, fair average quality 3d per lb., ox fores 2 s.Bth per lb., Australian beef ox hinds i6o-2201b5., fair average quality 2 g-Bth per lb., ox fores 2}d per lb. New Zealand mutton: Canterbury crossbred wethers and maiden ewes 55-65 lbs., fair average qualitv per lb., North Island to 4d per lb., Air* tralian mu'ton light weights nndrr 501h5,, crossbred and merino wethers fair average quality per lb. New Zealand lamb: Prime Canterbury 33 4olbs, 6 3-i6ths to 6 y-iGths per lb., fair average including Dunedin, Southland, Wellington, secondary Canterhurv, &c., 32 4o)bs. (excluding small lambs or heavies of inferior quality) 6d to6Jdper!b.; Australian lamb prime 32-4olhs, 4sd per lb. The demand has abated somewhat." AGENT-GENERAL’S REPORT. Wellington, March 6. The Agent-General cables : —“ The hemp market is dull in spot deliveries ; there is more demand for distant deliveries. The price of good fair Wellington grade is £3O xos. Stocks are 942 tons, against 1022 last year. Manila hemp, £39 xos.
