M;u'M nlmn iivrivod in Foxton to-day to make the preliminary arrangements for the appearance in Foxton on race nights of the eminent actor-author, Mr George Darrell, whose, name is a household word throughout the English speaking world. The company, which numbers no less than 24 well-known Australian artists, is found to be tiie strongest that has ever appeared in New Zealand. The piece selected for the opening performance on Monday evening next is Mr Darrell’s own immensely successful Australian play The Sunny South.” The character of the hero Mat Morley has been played by Mr Darrell tor over 1000 limes, in almost every portion of the world. Special attention will be paid by the Messrs MacMahon regarding the scenic effects, etc., the management promising theatre-goers something in the nature of a revelation in this respect. On Tuesday another equally successful drama will be played, vix., “Transported for Life.” The Box plan is now open at Mr Fraser’s where seats can be obtained for either evening-
