A War Scare.

LONDON, Jan. 9

The Berlin correspondent of the Morning Post reveals an audacious war scare in the German capital with a view to securing the augmentation of the German navy. Britain was represented as threatening an. attack if the navy was increased. According to the correspondent's friends, who claim to have had the information from high officials, the Kaiser mobilised the German fleet at Kiel, and only King Edward’s personal efforts averted a war. The correspondent adds that several of the Kaiser’s closest advisers encouraged the scare. All danger is now, however, averted, but the navy remains mobilised. The Post hopes the statements will be officially contradicted and disproved.
