CYCLONE. SUVA, Jan. 7. ' There has been a stiff south-east hurricane since midnight, and the glass is at 2d. There is a dead lull ? at present, which is an ominous indication that the wind is coining from the north. The steamer Navua is unable to leave port, Suva is apparently the centre of a cyclone.

The central committee of the London unemployed has adopted emigration as a part of the permanent machinery for relief, selecting the likeliest good settlers and excluding casuals. NON-EFFECTIVE WARSHIPS. In accordance with the decision cabled on the 23rd November, 29 non-effective warships are going to Queensferry to be sold on convenient occasions. The Superb has been declared to be non-effective.
RUSSIA. ST. PETERSBURG, Jan. 6
The Chief of Police was fatally wounded near Warsaw.
The rioters at Kharkoff fired the prisons. Six baker strikers and a Cossack were killed and many wounded in a conflict with the authorities.
