Wellington Wool and Skin Sales.
Messrs Levin & Go's Report. We offered to-day 8250 skins and a large quantity of wool in fadgei and bags. There was strong competition for the wool, which sold at fall current rates. We quote— Skins.—Prices were very firm with, an upward tendency. Merinos, 7d to 7fd; half-breds, 7d to 7fd; fine crossbreds, 7d to 7fd; coarse, 7d to 7£d; short wools, 7d to 7Jd; dead, 4£d to 6£d; butchers' green, up to 7s 6d each. Tallow.—-Casks, 19s; tins, 17s; rough fat, 14s. Hides.—There is no change in prices to record Cows, light, 10a 6d; medium, 12s to 14s; heavy, 14a to 16s. Ox, light, 15s; medium, 18s to 22*; heavy, 28s to 265. Wellington, 9fch Dec., 1904.
