THE CORINTHIC’S VOYAGE. HOBART, Nor. 5. Sixteen cases of diphtheria occurred during the voyage of tho Corinthic from London. Two deaths occurred immediately prior to the arrival of the steamer. RAID ON BETTORS. SYDNEY, Nov. 6. A betting shop in Pitt street has been raided by the police. Thirtythree arrests were made. SALE OF A NEWSPAPER. LONDON, Nov. 5. Arthur Pearson, Ltd., has purchased the London “ Standard." The general tone of the paper will remain unchanged. MASSACRE OF CASTAWAYS. ATHENS, Nov, 4. News has been received that the captain and a Greek crew, consisting of twenty-one members of the shipwrecked steamer Baron Innerdale, have been massacred at Kuria Muria (a group of fivh lofty islhts off the south-east coast of Arabia). The Sultan of Muscat has arrested the Arabian murderers. -
