Obituary.
■ —— MRS PURCELL. It is with regret we record the death of Mrs Purcell, senr, which took place at her residence, Patrick Street, last evening, after an illness extending, over nine weeks. Deceased was the relict of the late Mr J. Purcell, and leaves five sons (three of whom are married) and two daughters to mourn their loss. Mrs Purcell, whose death was due to hemmorhage of the brain, was one of the oldest and most respected of Foxton residents, and much sympathy will be expressed for the sorrowing relatives. Those married include :—Mr Thomas Purcell, telegraphist, Napier • Mr John Purcell, farmer, Waituna ) Mr William Purcell, farmer, Himatangi. Messrs Dennis Purcell, (farmer, Foxton), and Mr Ambrose Purcell (of the Railway Deyartment), together With two single daughters who reside at home, are the remaining sons and daughters. Deceased was 60 years of age. The remains of the deceased will be taken to the Catholic Church tomorrow morning at 9.30, where Requiem Mass will be held, and the funeral, to be conducted by Father De Loch, will leave the church at 2.30 p.m. to-morrow afternoon for the Foxton cemetery.
