LONDON, Oct. 21. Lord Brassey and other notables are promoting an Imperial celebration of Nelson’s centenary on October 19th, 1905. The British and Foreign Sailors’ Society, with the Prince of Wales as Patron, hopes to raise a Nelson memorial fund of at least £50,000 for the benefit of seamen. The Rev. Campbell, pastor of the City Temple, in addressing the Paddington and Kensington Trades and Labour Oounci's, justified his recent statement that working men were often lazy, unthrifty, improvident, sometimes immoral, foul-mouthed, and.-untruthfuL He disavowedmabing an indiscriminate attack. The speaker was thanked and his-courage recognised and cheered. CONSTANTINOPLE, Oct 21. - Eighty Bulgarians murdered a Patriarchist Priest named Stoyan, while at the altar ,of a church at a village south-east of Monaster. They also backed to death two notables and burned Steyan’s residence after murdering his wife. The crimes are attributed to revenge for the murder of two anarchists.
