Foxton Athletic Club.

A meeting of the Committee of the above Club was held at Mr Levett’s Hotel last night. Mr Fame was voted to the chair. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. It was resolved that the tender of the Foxton Borough Brass Band be accepted for supplying music at the meeting. Owing to one of the markers appointed at the annual general meeting having left the district, Mr T. Curtis was elected to fill the vacancy. Resolved that the Secretary interview Messrs Langley Bros, and M. Perreau re catering. After a good deal of discussion re correct cards, the Secretary was instructed to interview Mr E. Sutherland with a view of getting a price for same. A vote of thanks to the chair and to Mr Levett for the use the room ter minated the meeting.
