TUNNELLING ABANDONED. JAPS WARLIKE QUALITIES ADMITTED. The besiegers have abandoned tunnelling at Port Arthur owing to the rock. Admiral Togo's cordon has stopped the egress of Russian junks. General Gripenbelfg is instructed to follow the general directions of the Gommander-in • Chief. A SRITISBi BATTLESHIP “ SHADOWED. The Express reports that a cruiser which afterwards proved to be a German, chased, near Guelpart, the battleship Ocean when towing a destroyer. The Ocean slipped the destroyer and Cleared for action. The German, in disappearing, signalled “ I find lam mistaken." The captain of the Ocean believes he was shadowed to see if he was assisting the Japanese.
