Mr J. Manning, of Palmerston, has been appointed to referee the AwahouKiwi match on Saturday. This ap pointment should give satisfac ion to both teams. A very interesting match was played on the racecourse yesterday between the Wanderers and Old Boys, the former coming out victors by 12 points to 5. Mr J. Frew controlled the game in a satisfactory manner. Mr L. Furrie, who is to play full back for the North Island in the match North v. South at Dunedin on September 24th, has taken part in thirty rep. matches, having represented Horowhenua, Wanganui, and Manawatu. Last year he was chosen to play for Wellington province against the New Zealand team which visited Australia. On Saturday a team from the local school will journey to Palmerston to play the return match with the Campbell Street School. The following boys will represent Foxton :—Full back, G. Collins; three quarters, W. Spelman, A. Overend, H. Hughes; five-eighth, C. Edwards; half, F. Hooker; forwards—J. Withers, L. Bullard (wings), A. Withers, Haeona, C. Wanklyn, R. Spiers, H. Walden, S. Wanklyn, S. Reeves. Emergencies— E. Gray, R. Robinson, J. Currie, L. Lambess, R. Coley. The team will be in charge of Mr L. Furrie.
