Parliament.
HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. The Land debate was continued on Thursday, to full galleries. Nothing of special interest occurred during the day, but towards evening some life was infused into the discussion by the member for Pahiatua, Mr Hawkins. Practically the whole ot the latter’s speech was devoted to a severe indictment of the Premier and his policy. The matter in debate was scarcely Ibuiched upon. Mr Laurenson administered a well-earned rebuke, pointing out to the hon. member that members had something better to do than to descend to personal abuse.
