The Agent-General cables: —The hemp market is firm, although heavy shipments of fibre are exported from Manila. The price *of New Zealand hemp, good fair Wellington grade, on spot, to-day is £3O ios per ton; July to September shipments, £3O. The price of Manila hemp, fair current grade on spot to-day is £36 per ton.
