A MAIL STEAMER STOPPED
The North German Lloyd steamer Prince Henrich has reached Aden. She reports that the volunteer cruiser Smolensk, on Friday, compelled her to give up 31 sacks of letters and 24 sacks of paroles intended for Japan. St. Petersburg telegrams declare that numerous reconnaissances have proved that the Japanese have left only a containing force at Talhichiao and Kaiping, making a turning movement through the bills to the eastward, the objective being Haicheng. JAPANESE LANDING MORE TROOPS. The Japanese have landed two more divisions and fifty guns at Dalny! The second has repaired the docks, electric station and. railway. There are persistent! rumours; in St. Petersburg that the Novik has run the blockade and joined . the Vladivostok squadron.
