Explanation.

We desire to publish an explanation with reference to a report of the Borough Council meeting appearing in our issue of Tuesday last. We wish to state that we are not responsible for any of the errors contained in the report. It was handed to us for insertion just as it was, .and jye do thiak*pjuselyeß justified in fUteHWg it. ft’would b& better if the Council took a little more care in framing their resolutions, for we do not quite see how the public are to gain a knowledge of what is being done for the town if the minutes are made out in such a confused and illegible manner. We think it only right to inform our readers of the facts, lest any of them should think that the fault lies with us and not with the Council.
