Football.
A meeting was held in Messrs Shadbolt & Rowan's premises oQ Saturday evening of the delegates appointed by each Club in the newlyformed Union. Present—Messrs A. Shadbolt and R. Siggs (Poroutawhao), N. Heta and Taylor (Mofcuiti), J. Desmond and Curtis (Kiwi), and J. Jillet and F. Robinson (Awahou). Mr A, Shadbolt was voted to the chair, * The following resolutions were carried That all players reside in the boundary of Poroutawhao, Shannon Perry, Oroua Bridge and Oroua Downs ; • and that all players not residing in that area bo disqualified from playing. That all gate money be divided amongst the Clubs competing for Mr Simpson’s trophy. That Mr A. Shadbolt be appointed Secretary for the Union. That all Clubs send in the names of players and colours by Saturday, 16th inst, and that the fixtures be drawn on the same day. That all matches be played on Saturday. The following referees were appointed : —E. Ball, J. Frew and Kirona. The Secretary was instructed to wait on the Police and ask 'them to be present at each match. A vote of thanks to the chair, and to Messrs Shadbolt & Howan for. the use of the room, concluded the meeting.
