•Messrs Abraham & Williams, Ltd , Stock Report. At Palmerston on Ihursday we had a fair yarding of sheep, consisting chiefly of ewes in lamb. Buyers for good breeding ewes were present but inferior sorts were neglected, and bidding generally was not brisk. A small entry of cattle, mostly store cows, mot with little demand. We quote — Sheep - Good ewes in lamb, 18s 6d, others, 12s Cd to 13s lOd ; hoggets, 10s 2d to ils 2d; fat ewes, 16s 7d to 15s 8d ; fat wethers, 17s 8d ; forward ewes, 13a 7d. Cattle— Springing heifers, £5 5s ; weaners, 25a 6d to 32s Cd ; small weaners, 13s; store cows, 30s to .£2 10s. The New Zealand Loan & Mercantile Company Report. At Himatan’gi, on Monday, there was a fair yarding of sheep, and a good yarding of cattle. The sheep consisted of a line of 450 wethers, which sold well at 17s Id. There was rather a better demand for cattle, and the bulk of them were sold. We quote— Sheep—Forward wethers, 17s Id. Cattle —Weaners, 23s 8d to 82s 6d; 18-month steers, £2 17s to £8 10s; IS.month heifers, £3 10s; heifers in calf, €4; 2s 6d ; cows ia calf, £8 17s 6d to £4 5s : springing heifers, £5 15. fl to £6; springing cows, £5 to £7 IQs; fat cows, £4 15s to £5; 2s-yr steers, £5 Is.
