Taylor-Carrington Company.
“ JUSTICE AT LAST.” The piece to be played by the above Company* on the second night of their season here, Monday, is the Drury Lane drama “ Justice at Last." -The Sydney Morning Herald in speaking of the Taylor-Carrington production of this piece, said : -Mr Charlie Taylor’s performance of ” Isaacs ” is unquestionably good, it’s the most realistic and effective specimen of Jewish characterisation that Sydney playgoers have seen since the days of Harry Jackson, who made a study of this type of character and afterwards went to England where be achieved a great success in a long list of Jewish impersonations. The Albany Herald, in commenting upon the production of this piece in West Australia, said :—“ We have seen many child actresses, but none so clever as little Linda Nagle, whose performance as Arthur was sweetly interesting. In the scene where the blind mother meets with her kidnapped child and sacrifices herself for the sake of her little one, Miss Carrington and little Linda acted with so much pathos and effect that there was scarcely a dry eye among the audience.”
