PREPARATIONS FOR A GREAT BATTLE.
Reuter’s agent at the Japanese headquarters, reporting by Fusan, states that General Europatkin is assembling his forces at Haioheng, and a great battle is expected within a month. The Times’ correspondent reports that there is a force at General Kuropatkin’s immediate disposal of 100,000, and he expects to be reinforced by 20,000 monthly, via the Trans-Siberian railway. The Russian reverse at Telissa produced extreme depression in Russia.
