Messrs Abraham & Williams, Ltd , Stock Report. At Palmerston on Thursday we had an average yarding of both sheep and cattle. The sheep consisted chiefly of ewes in lamb, for which there was not much demand. A good clearance was made with the cattle at recent prices. ' We quote — Sheep—4th to f.f m. ewes in lamb, in good condition, 16s sd; good conditioned aged ewes in lamb, 15s Id ; ewes in lamb, mixed ages, 18a 8d to 14a 8d ; forward ewes, 14s 9d ; 2 and 4-th wethers, 14s lid ; lambs, 11s 6d to 11s 9d ; store ewes, lls 8d ; cull ewes, 8s 3d ; small wethers, in poor condition, 9s 6d. Cattle—Fat and forward bullocks, £5 18s 6d ; fat cows, £5 IGs ; 3 yr bullocks, £5 lls ; 2-yr steers, £4 ; 18-mth steers, £3 7s to £3 10s; yearling steers, £2 12s; forward cows, £4 10s to £5 ; cows in calf, £3 7s 6d to £4 5s ; store cows, £2 9s 6d to £8; 18-mth heifers, £3 ss; weaners, 20s to 255; bulls, 36s to £8 10s.
