Death of an Old Settler.

Advice was received in town, says the Standard, of the death of Mr John T. Dalrymple, a very old settler of the Rangitikei district, which sad event took place at his residence, at Parewanui, near Bulls. The deceas/ed gentleman was 65 years of age and had resided on this Coast since 1868. In that year he took up the T« Matai estate, where he remained till early in the eighties. He then removed to his late residence at Parewanui. Deceased took a great interest in agricultural and pastoral matters, and was for many years a member of the committee of the Manawatu A. and P. Association, on which he was a prominent worker. He leaves a grown-up family to mourn their oss.
