An Extraordinary Case.
A DIVORCE COURT SENSATION. Mrs Kate Pollard obtained, on the grounds of her husband’s cruelty and misconduct, a decree nisi, in November, 1902, and to prevent this being made absolute the King’s Proctor intervened in the London Divorce Court. The jury found that Slater’s Detective Agency had caused respondent to commit adultery and presented a bogus case to the Court, with the help of a solicitor named Osborn, whom Slater had employed. The decree was, therefore, rescinded, and Slater, Osborn, Bray and Davis, two of Slater’s geucy detectives, and Henry, manager of the Agency, have been arrested on a charge of conspiracy. Slater and Osborn have been bailed out. Bail was fixed at £6OOO.
