Gymnasium Club.
A meeting of all those willing to form a Gymnasium Club was held at Mr Levett’s Manawatu Hotel on Thursday evening. There was a large attendance, and Mr J. Hunter occupied the chair. It was unanimously resolved to form a Club, to be called the Foxton Gymnasium Club, and that 5s be the membership fee, and that a small sum (to be decided at the Committee meeting), be charged monthly. Considerable discussion arose about obtaining a suitable ball, and it was decided to leave that matter in the bands of the committee to arrange. The following officers were elected : —Patron, Mr J. Vile, M.H.R.; President, Mr F. W. Frankland; Vice-Presidents, Messrs J, Symons, H. Frankland, 0. L. Barnard, A. D. Clemett, 0. Robinson, and G. Simpson; Secretary, E. Healey; Treasurer, J. Hunter; Committee, Messrs R Hiskson, J. Dunn, L. Furrie, W. Hooker, and J. Marshall; Instructors, Messrs Pope and G. Hunter, A vote of thanks to the chair and to Mr Levett for use of room concluded the meeting. Intending members are requested to hand in their names to the secretary as soon as possible.
