Sports and Picnic Club.

COMMITTEE MEETING,

A committee meeting of the above club was held at Mr Haywood’s Hotel on Thursday evening. Mr Noonan was voted to the chair.

The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed, A considerable amount of business was done, and the following resolutions were passed ;

That tenders be called for thesupply of firewood, five coppers-, fifteen gallons of milk, and sufficienttea and sugar, also for labour in looking after the same on sports day. Tenders to be in by Wednes- * day, Sad March. That the children’s lunch take place at 1 o’clock and.the ladies’ tea at 3 p,m. That no charge be made to whoever has a booth on the ground.

That Mr M. Perreau canvas for names of ladies who will assist in attending to tbe children’s lunch. That Messrs A. Shad bolt and B. Buna canvass for refreshments.

That £3 be set aside as prizes for the children’s races, irrespective of those in the advertised programme. The gatekeepers were appointed, and the meeting adjourned. The next meeting will be held at Mr Laing’s Hotel on Thursday evening.
