Sports Meeting.

A general meeting of the fit. Patrick’s ! ay Sports and Picnic C'"! was held on'Tuesday evening at Mr Gray’s Hotel, and was well attended. Mr H. B. Siggs was voted to the chair.

The minutes of the last general iilfeetihg Were read, and after Mr Bradcock was added to the programme committee, were confirmed. The programme was approved of with but one exception, and appears in another column:

A letter was read from Mr Job Vile, M.H.R., enclosing cheque for £1 Is.

The following resolutions were carried:—

1 hat the working committee have free passes to grounds on sports day. That complimentary tickets be sent to all donators Of 10s 6d and Over for themselves and families. That Mr W. Cook and the Secretaries wait on the Borough Council re securing Park on 17th March, and arrange as to terms. That there be a refreshment booth on the ground, the letting of same to be left in the hands of the committee.

That a committee, cons : sting of Messrs Healey, Bradcock, Siggs and the secretaries arrange about the children’s refreshments. That Mr Martin interview Mr E. Smith, secretary Foxton Athletic Club re securing numbers, flags, etc.

That Mr Bradcock waits on Mr Stewart and ask him to give the children all the information regarding the sports and to bringing thenown mugs to the sports. The sum of £2 5s was handed to the secretaries in the room. A vote of thanks to the chair and to Mr Gray for the use of the room closed the meeting.
