Wellington Wool and Skin Sales.
Messrs Levin & Co., Ltd., report:— We offered to-day 1700 skins and a large quantity of bag wool, and hides and tallow. There was an excellent demand for skins, and prices tended in sellers favour. We quote:— Skins—Merinos, 6|d to 7d ; halfbreds, 6d to 6Jd; fine crossbreds, s£d to 6d; coarse, 5d to 6Jd; dead, 3|d to 4d ; pelts, Is 4d each. "Hides—There was a better seleo* tion than usual, and prices were firm. Ox hides, 17s fid to 28s; cow hides, 18s to 18s fid. Tallow—Good mixed, 20s to 20s fid; station fat, 17s to 18s ; rough tai, 13s to 15s. Wellington, sth Feb,, 1904.
