Montgomery’s Entertainers.
It is almost safe to prophesy that when the curtain rises at the Public flail to-morrow night the sign that delights the manager’s heart—- “ Standing room only”—will be displayed in all parts of the ball. It is doubtful if ever any company was looked forward to as eagerly as Montgomery’s Entertainers. Although it is over two years since the company appeared here, they are well remembered by almost every one in the district. Mr Montgomery’s songs and pictures to be presented here to-morrow evening surpass all his previous efforts. The great Durbar at Delhi and the Melbourne Cup 1903, seeing Lord Cardigan win a magnificent race, is alone worth the price of admission. Several new performers have * been engaged for this tour, including Dudley Trent (an English baritone), Miss Ettie Hargood (the gifted soprano), Miss Eva Brady (the pleasing bailadist), and Mr T. S. Valentine (the people's favourite). Mr Montgomery and Mr Bob Hall have an entirely new repertoire of songs, so we predict a bumper bouse to-morrow night to welcome the company on their reappearance in Foxton.
