TAYLOR PUTS UP A RECORD,

At the Cycling Carnival at Sydney on Saturday the half-mile test was re-run, owing to the alleged interference with Taylor, resulted in a dead heat between Taylor and Walker in 61 seconds. Lawson and MacParland did not start, feeling aggrieved at the remarks on their conduct in the previous race. The Pour Mile Teat was a magnificent race and resulted :—Lawson 1, Taylor 2, Downing 3, MacParland 4. It was won by inches; time, Bmin 26 3-saec.

Taylor, in his heat for the Summer Wheel Race, put up a record, doing the mile in Imin 53 8-ssec.
