Foxton School Committee.
A meeting of the Foxton School Committee was held on Tuesday evening in the Library Buildings at 8 o’clock. Present —Messrs A. D. Clemett, (chairman), F. E. Jenks, G. Coley, T. Betty, Rev. H. F. Wilson and S. Hi Baker (secretary). The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed.
An apology was received from Mr H. Bradcock for non-attendance.
The correspondence was read. Mr T. Westwood, who is about to leave the district, having resigned his position as chairman, Mr Clemett was chosen to fill the vacancy.
Mr 0. L. Barnard was elected a member o£ the committee.
The secretary was instructed to write to the Board asking for a reply to the letter sent in regard to the urgent alterations that are necessary to the school building, also to ask for names of teachers that have been received for the vacancy as head mistress of the school. Several small accounts were passed for payment and the meeting adjourned.
