Murder and Suicide.

CAUSED BY POVERTY.

A mysterious double tragedy has occurred at Newtown, N.S.W., Alexander William Bedford Sly and his wife were found, in a bedroom with their throats cut. There were indications that they had mutually agreed to die, the husband killing his wife and then himself

The discovery was made by one of the children, whereof there were four, in very poor circumstances. It is supposed that it preyed on the minds of both in a peculiar manner, as they frequently complained to the police about mysterious persons wandering about their home.
