Explosion on a Warship.

FOUR MEN KILLED AND OTHERS INJURED.

Official information regarding the explosion on the Wallaroo, says that only four men were killed and three injured. The accident was caused by the bursting of a steam pipe. All those killed and injured were stokers

One was killed outright, and three succumbed from the effects of the scalding steam. Seven were injured - three seriously. The latter are not expected to recover.

The explosion occurred on Wednesday afternoon during a full speed trial. Those killed were buried at sea.
