Geo. Hall, be otmaker, suicided in the back room of his father’s shop, Dee-street, Invercargill, luring New Year’s night by inhaling coal gas. He had been ir. ill-healt.i for a year The act was dene with great deliberation. He put the rubber pipe on the gas jet, placed a bag over his head, introduced the other end of the tube, tied the bag, and lay down on the floor with the gas turned on.
