Burglars Captured at Wellington.

NICE LITTLE PLANT OF JEWELLERY FOUND. Wellington, September 13. On Sunday night Chief-Detective McGrath and Detectives Brobcrg and Cassel arrested two men named Edwin Gray and Frank King on charges of burglariously entering premises at Feilding, Palmerston North, Maaterton, Petone, and Wellington. Jewellery to the value of £3OO was found in their possession, which it is alleged connects them with practically ail the burglaries committed in Wellington for some time past. King resides in a house in Arthur street. When the detectives visited his lodgings he bolted through the window, but was captured after a smart run up the street. The greater part of the stolen property was deeply buried in a hole in the back yard. The detective offices present the appearance of jewellery sample rooms.
