The Sultan has issued an irade ordering the reconstruction of fortifications at the Bosphorus, Adrianople, Chitalja and Erzeroum. Sixty peasants in the hills near Neveska, who had surrendered under a proclamation of, pardon, were massacred and their bodies thrown into a ravine.

The “ Neue Wiener Tageblatt ” states that the Bulgarian Government’s order for fifteen million cartridges was transferred to a Hungarian firm, which borrowed them from the Hungarian Government for immediate delivery, after Austrian Goverment had originally declined the order. ALBANIAN TROOPS ANNIHILATED. Telegrams from Sofia announce that a force of insurgent annihilated two battalions of Albanian troops in the Prime mountains. ALARM AT MONASTIR. At Monastir the shops are closed and the streets deserted, the Christians fearing another massacre. Even the Consuls are afraid to go abroad. A MOVEMENT INTO MACEDONIA. Several large bands of Bulgarians have evaded the Bulgarian-Turco frontier guards and have entered Macedonia.
