REPAIRS WANTED TO HARBOUR STREET.

TO THE EDITOR OB' tfUB SfAtfAWAIJO SEBAUJ

Sis,— We wish to draw the attention of the authorities to the disgraceful skate of this street, which has always been neglected. There are at present holes two feet deep in some parts, and if not attended to will mean that a horse will have its leg broken or perhaps the driver killed. An accident of a serious nature may have happened yesterday, when a driver of one of the carts was thrown against the bank by the wheels of the vehicle getting into one of these boles. If such an accident should occur, it will mean a very dear street to the Borough. We can assure you it is only fit for bullocks at present, and in fact hardly fit for them to traverse over. It is the only street that keeps little Poxton afloat, and surely it is worth a little attention, and the holes filling up. Hoping it will be seen to before an accident does occur. We are, &c., Hioison & Ebeve. Foxton, Sept. 10th, 1903.
