Foxton Rifle Volunteer Ball.

Attention to the forthcoming ball is drawn in our advertising columns, and no doubt it is the event of the year as far as dancing is concerned. Every one who takes an interest in the welfare of volunteering as well as the pleasure of a good night’s dancing is talking of the ball, which takes place on Wednesday, Bkh July. There is no doubt that the Volunteer ball is gaining in popularity every year and we feel safe in predicting even a greater success this year than any previous ball held hero, which is saying a great deal. Over 400 invitations have been issued, and we are informed that replies accepting same are coming in wholesale. The catering has been entrusted to Mr M. Perreau, and the music "is to be supplied by the well-known musicians, ' Cornel Bros., which is a sure guarantee Of everything being up-to-date.
