Adventures of Sea.
The steamer St. Lonis, which left No#mea on May 28th with the ship Admiral Camille, 8000 tons, ore laden, in tow, arrived at Sydney on Wednesday, after ah exciting experience. A succession of galea was en* countered early in the voyage, and the bumping about of the ship started the towing bits. On June Ist the tow rope broke, and a second went next day- 1 The weather was then so bad that the steamer was unable to pick up the Admiral Camille till the 4th inut. On the evening of the 7th Inst, when eighty miles east of Sydney Heads, another Jerce gale compelled the master of the steamer to let the tow line go, and the St. Louis came on to Sydney without the sailer. The captain of the ship when let go intended making sail, working up to port as soon as the weather moderated. The Admiral was being towed to Sydney for docking, having been ashore at Noumea, but she was not seriously damaged. The crew of. the St. Louis had a rough time, two being slightly injured. . ■ ...
