Stock Market.
ABRAHAM AND WILLIAMS. At Palmerston on Thursday we had a large entry of cattle, quite double the number advertised. Sheep were also in larger numbers than advertised. The attendance was good, and grown sheep were in demand, especially sound young sheep. Lambs did. not sell so freely, but everything was disposed of at or after the auction. In cattle grown bullocks met with a good demand, though buyers were disposed to hold off as long as possible. Guaranteed cows sold well, but heifers were somewhat slack, more particularly backward sorts. On the whole, a very successful sale for the time of the year must be recorded.
