OTAKI MAORI RAGING CLUB. yesterday the winter meeting of the above Club opened with beautiful weather. -The attendance waa the largest ever seen on the coarse, close on 3000 persons being present. Good fields and good racing was the order of the day. During the afternoon the Otaki Maori Band played selections on the lawn. The catering was in the hands of Messrs. Langley Bros., and the spread provided was up to their usual high standard. The sum of £9260 was put through the machines, as against £6202 for the corresponding day last year.
