The Transvaal Loan.

The subscribtions for the Transvaal loan closed on Saturday. The scrip Was afterwards quoted at a premium of £1 7s 6d. The Bank of England supplied the market with twenty-five millions fo.i loan purposes. The “ Standard” states that there were a hundred and fifty thousand applications, amounting to one thousand millions. There were 115,400 applications, totalling £.1,174,000,000 for the the Transvaal loan. The allotments will be posted this evening. One firm which applied for the whole loan and others for huge amounts are unlikely to receive more than 2 per cent.
