The Transvaal Loan.
OVER THREE HUNDRED MILLIONS SUBSCRIBED. The Transvaal loan is payable in instalments extending to December. The discount for immediate payment reduces the price to £9B 18s Bd. Over three hundred millions have been subscribed. The Transvaal loan has been covered thirty-fold. French financiers applied for sufficient to cover the loan once. There were two tons weight of British provincial applications.
