The other day Mr Seifert, of Paiaka, returned with Mrs Seifert from a trip to Sydney, to which place he went for medical advice and change. We are glad to find him looking very well and much .improved by the change. He informs us, however, that he finds he must leave the riverside and reside on a higher and drier site, and has determined to try Palmerston for a period, where he has secured a property. Some indignation was expressed on Wednesday during the polling at the action of the borough authorities having the roads off Park-street ploughed, presumably prior to metalling, the inhabitants of Jenks street bewailign their possible fate should rain come prior to the metal.
