LABOUR ON THE RAND,
The wages on the Rand for native labourers now range from thirty to sixty shillings a month, besides a bonus upon their re-ettgaging. ' The Imperial Treasury Commissioner scathingly condemns all branches of the Natal administration, and makes far-reaching recommendations in connection therewith. The Trade Commissioner to the Transvaal reports that after two years great mining and industrial development will ensue, with a large accession of trade.
