A Paris Romance.
A romantic scandal has occurred be* tween a banker, an ex-Minister, and a pretty actress, which is giving some amusement in Paris. The lady deve* loping a secret admiration for the exMinister, sent him an invitation to lunch, and enclosed a remarkably handsome gold cigarette case as a token of her esteem. The politician was so touched by the gift that he promptly paraded it, showing it, among others, to the banker, who at once claimed it as his. lie said be had lost it at the house of a lady friend, who had declared no trace of it could be found. The politician declared this was impossible, as he bads# just received it as a token of regard from the actress, whom he named. At once the hanker became furious; n Vdti dare mention her name! Why* sh# is the fri .nd I referred to 1" he cried. The politician now became enraged, and the upshot of the dispute was a visit to the lady in question. What transpired at that interview is hot revealed, but both the geotletnen (eft the house together on evidently very strained relations, while the lady has announced her inability to keep her-.; ; engagements owing to a temporary indisposition.
