Public Meeting

This morning some few business people met, with the Mayor in the chair, at the Borough Council office to consider some form of welcome to the volunteers, who are encamping here at Easter. After discussion it was unanimously resolved, That the volunteers be entertained at the encampment at Foxton at Easter, Also, That those present be a committee to carry out the arrangements with power to add to their number, viz., Messrs J. Stevens, P. Hennessy, G. Nye, G. Stiles, Thos. Westwood, E. Oab me, B. Smith and E. 3. Thynne. The committee are to meet some time to day.
