HOROWHENUA RAGING CLUB. The first meeting on the above Club’s new course took place on Tuesday in fine weather. The attendance was large, visitors coming from Palmerston, Wellington and Foxtom The meeting passed off without a protest or a hitch of any kind. The Secretary, Mr C. K. Wilson had everything in order, and was ably assisted by the other officials of the Club to make the day pass pleasantly. Visitors were surprised at the pretty and well laid out course the Club possesses, everything being complete, and which no doubt in the near future will bq one of the most popular courses on the West Coast. Speculation was fairly brisk, the sum of £5316 being put through the machines during the day. Following arc the results!— .
